Hollow is seperate but same being as Shell, created in a divergent timeline where Flesh Angel fails to stop Centipede Girl from pulling out the strange power inside Shell.
The world begins to crumble as a being creeps out of Shell's near corpse-like body.
Before it folds in on itself, Shell uses the energy currently ripping space apart to shape himself into something that can survive this event.
Shell's near pulseless and mutilated body has transformed into a angelic corpse, capable of tearing portals that lead to other worlds and places.
Using this new body, he grabbed Flesh Angel and left the crumbling reality.
