On Magic: Layman's Summary & Guide.

Psionic magic uses energy produced by the brain to change or bend the world by expending the energy generated by the brain of the user. Though there is no hard limit to the amount of power used, the brain will fry from high & fast concentrations of usage. (EX: Below average intelligence human trying to instantly disassemble an automobile with all pieces intact.)
The unique qualities of Psionics are as follows:
1. The amount of power used is greatly reduced with the amount of knowledge the user has at the current task. Simply brute forcing an impressive task will damage or fry your brain, while having an academic degree and a basic understanding of magical theory will not strain your mind.
2. The amount of brain matter on the being determines the efficiency and maximum limit of strain the user can handle.

Holy magic steals brain energy from believers, taking a sliver from the entire believing population for each spell. If the user's chosen faith has too few believers, usage of power will risk spontaneous combustion. The risk rises with the thinness of believers. The opinion that those who believe in faith have lesser intelligence due to the drain from miracles has been considered, but discarded due to researcher bias.

Demonic magic is functionally an obtuse, simplistic and costly version of Psionic magic, with the sole benefit of using souls as fuel. Sigils and ritual circles are commonplace, most commonly associated with teleportation. Outside of demonic magic moving the user to and from hell, teleportation is incredibly rare.

Blood Magic is versatile, though mainly used for occult summoning or tributes (see Aztec variant). Blood must be expelled and rendered unusable from the user/sacrifice. Other classes of magic can be absorbed into the user's being for a marginal addition to their base power while sacrificing a creature strong with that class. (EX: Angel, holy) The power a blood spell has depends on the percentage expelled from the user/sacrifice. (NOTE: The average human has 4.5 to 5.5 liters of blood.) Creatures summoned from the rituals are compelled to obey their orders, even against the creature's will.

Eldritch Magic is an unknown. We haven't encountered enough live specimens to document anything solid. Insert additional information ASAP.

Sorcery is an inefficient variant of Psionics, requiring the essence of a demon (gifted through a ritual by one or already present in the user's bloodline) to function. Creation (or rather, transformation of the environment) is not possible with Sorcery. It is raw and volatile, only useful for destruction or summoning.
Summoning a creature requires material containing DNA of said creature (Demons are the easiest choice, having the essence already within the user) on the user or within the summoning circle. The summoning circle must be both on a flat surface and wide enough for said creature. Certain creatures may require additional symbols to be added to the circle. Compared to usual Demonic magic, it is rather slow and intensive. Once the creature is summoned, it can be contained within the circle. Unlike Blood magic, said creature has it's free will completely intact.
